One third of patients lie to the dentist about their flossing.  Are you lying to yours? Most of the time dentists expect a certain amount of stretching to occur when they ask how often a patient flosses.  The important thing to remember is that brushing alone doesn’t remove the bacteria under the gum line in between your teeth. I was dumbfounded to find that a third of Americans would rather clean the toilet than floss.  I can relate when I think of the time I found myself cleaning the kitty litter box rather than facing my homework. That being said, flossing helps you keep your smile for a lifetime. It is well worth the minute spent daily. For more information call 970-242-7373 for Dr. Nadine Hutchins.
