A study of skulls at the UK ‘s Natural History Museum, led by a King’s College London periodontist showed that only 5% of the population had gum disease compared to today’s population having between 15-30%. The studies coauthor Theya Mollenson PhD thinks as smoking declines in the population that there will be a decline in gum and bone disease – periodontal disease.  If you have any questions call Dr. Nadine Hutchins at 970-242-7373.
