Brushing your dog’s teeth

by Dr. Nadine on September 13, 2010

Brushing your dog’s teeth can extend his life.  Be gentle and start in the back, working to the front in little circles.  Keep it short, brushing only for a minute or two, two or three times a week.  Use a soft bristle brush without human toothpaste since they can’t spit.  Always provide a hard biscuit at the end since eating helps scrape  tartar off of teeth and the reward makes the experience more pleasant.
